Measurement principle
The TU80D turbidity sensor adopts a 90° scattered light measurement method and is equipped with an internal bubble elimination device to eliminate the most significant interference in low turbidity measurements. The sensor is built with an EPA solid-state continuous white light source, and the light emitted downward encounters suspended particles in the sample, generating scattered light. The photodetector immersed in the water sample by the sensor can detect the light at a 90° Angle to the incident beam and calculate its signal intensity, thereby obtaining the concentration value of the sample.
