
Measurement principle
Inside the turbidity or suspended solids sensor, there is an integrated LED light source that can emit near-infrared light at 860nm towards the sample. The change in the amount of light generated after the beam passes through the suspended particles in the sample enables the optical detector located at 90° and 130° angles to the incident light (180° Angle for the TC/TCS series) to detect the reflected light (scattered light). The turbidity or suspended solids concentration value of the sample can be obtained by calculating the signal intensities before and after detection by the detector.
